New features Released.

by Admin 4. May 2009 08:30

A few new features were released into production over the weekend. Here is an overview:

  • "Default Stores" can now be assigned to employees who work for more than one store.
  • Vacation requests are now forwarded to the "Store Manager" at the employees "Default Store". In the case of a "Store Manager", their vacation request is forwarded to the "District Manager" of the region, or the "Executive" user if none exists.
  • Executive users can assign "Stores" to "District Manager" accounts as required.
  • Employee profiles now include a new section which displays the upcoming shifts (both pending and accepted) in the next 7 days.
  • When approving a new schedule, the "Store Manager" no longer needs to explicitly accept new shifts they have assigned to themselves (they are accepted by default).

As always, you can click here to ask questions.

DemoCampCalgary #10!

by Admin 27. August 2008 01:53

The crew over at BarCampCalgary.com announced the upcoming 10th edition of DemoCampCalgary on September 25th. It's all going down at Melrose Cafe & Bar (17th Ave & 7th St SW) at 6:30pm.

More about DemoCamp (I stole this text from their site http://barcampcalgary.com/about-democamp/):

What is DemoCamp?

It’s an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It’s typically a monthly event, and features 4 live demos, followed by discussion and interaction from participants. DemoCamps typically last between 1.5 and 2 hours.

What do you mean by ad-hoc?

Volunteers collaborate to create “unconferences”, where the focus is on building community. You can help out by telling your friends about the event, and asking interesting companies to present at a DemoCamp.

Does it cost anything to attend?

No, but please pay for your food and drinks and tip your servers generously.

Sounds cool. What are the Rules?

There aren’t a lot of rules, but the rules we have are set in stone.
Rule #1: You must talk about DemoCamp. Tell your friends, and bring someone interesting to the next event.
Rule #2: No powerpoint or slideshow allowed. Why no .ppt? Well, do you have working software or don’t you?
Rule #3: Demos are not a second over 10 minutes each. Short and sweet! And follow with Q&A for about 3-4 minutes max.
Rule #4: There are no rules. We’ll continue to do what’s right for the community.

Hope to see you all there!

Our servers have a new home.

by Admin 5. August 2008 01:43

Yesterday was the big move for our application servers. The new data center is situated on the SHAW BIG PIPE fibre optic backbone.

With this move, our customers should see an improvement in the speed and overall availability of our sites:

by Admin 29. July 2008 08:37

Great news here at eSchedule Inc.. On July 28, 2008 we were able to secure the expired domain www.eSchedule.net. It's currently forwarding to our main servers, but watch closely over the coming months as we begin to rebrand ourselves as eSchedule.NET.

Cheers!
